PADI Discover Scuba Diving of Pilar and Anita

Discover Scuba Diving in El Nido, Philippines

  |   Aquanauts, AquaNews

One of my job as instructor is to introduce people in the fascinating world of scuba diving. Sometimes while on vacation people don’t have enough time to do a PADI course to learn how to dive or they are a little bit reluctant about this activity. On the one hand there is the fear to breath underwater (we know we are mammals after all) but on the other hand there is the excitement and wish to get close to the marine life. That was the case of Anita and Pilar when they crossed the door of Aquanaut Dive Center.

At the end of a perfect PADI Discover Scuba Diving day

For all those who want to try diving for the first time and see the underwater world in a safe and funny way, there is the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, so after a small talk with Anita and Pilar they decided to do it here in El Nido, Philippines. Therefore, on a sunny morning we jumped on the boat and we headed to the beautiful Paradise beach of Cadlao Island in Palawan.

People feel very confident on the beach as they are on land. So it was a good starting point to explain all the basics about scuba diving. Then I taught them some safety skills and we went diving. Although as a scuba diving instructor sometimes I have to deal with the fear of my pupils, there isn’t greater happiness as the one I felt seeing the amazed faces of Anita and Pilar when they found a blue sea star, a striped puffer fish and the so common anemone fish that can be found here in El Nido.

Anita, Pilar, thank you very much to make my day.

Monica
