You always see them when diving and wonder if they are plants, rocks, animals … Coral reefs are the home to an abundance of marine life, and coral is a key player in the reef ecosystem. If you are curious about this complexity and want to learn how to protect them, then you only need to enroll in this Coral Reef Conservation specialty course.
In this non-diving course, through classroom discussions, you will learn how the complex nature of the coral reefs works, why they are so important, why the coral reefs are in danger, what you can do to defend them and what the link is between corals and fish.
Despite the fact that this is a non-diving course, we go on with education so you can join us on our Coral Watch Dives where we will show you the different kind of corals, how to identify them and their health state in the reef biodiversity of El Nido.
