EFR Course: life-saving skills, accessible to all

PADI's Emergency First Response (EFR) course is an internationally recognized first aid training program, designed to give you the tools and confidence needed to respond to a medical emergency. Whether on a boat, on a beach, or in everyday life, knowing how to act in the first few minutes can make all the difference.

This course covers the two essential components of first aid: Primary Care (Primary Care), which addresses life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest or airway obstruction, and Secondary Care (Secondary Care), which involves managing injuries and conditions that are not immediately life-threatening. The training is based on scientifically validated techniques and emphasizes practical application, so that proper responses become second nature.

Important: This course is mandatory (or its PADI-recognized equivalent) to enroll in the Rescue Diver course. The certification is valid for 24 months to advance to the next level.

Ideal for:
  • Divers looking to obtain their Rescue Diver certification
  • Anyone wishing to acquire vital first aid skills
  • Parents, teachers, athletes, or professionals who want to be prepared to react in an emergency
  • Divers wishing to strengthen their sense of responsibility towards their dive buddies
  • Those with no prior first aid experience — no prerequisites are required

Course Objectives:

  1. Train participants in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and AED use
  2. Develop effective responses to common medical emergencies
  3. Acquire secondary care skills to assist a victim until emergency services arrive
  4. Build self-confidence to intervene calmly and effectively under pressure
