The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular and recognized diving certification in the world. Designed for complete beginners, it provides you with all the theoretical and practical foundations to dive safely and independently up to -18m. Through progressive learning combining theory, confined water exercises, and open water dives, you will acquire the essential skills to explore the reefs, marine life, and underwater wonders of El Nido — and beyond. Upon completion of this course, your PADI Open Water certification is valid for life and recognized worldwide.

Important : The knowledge development section is essential for mastering the various topics covered during practical training, understanding how the equipment works, how diving affects your body when you breathe underwater, etc. You have the option to complete this section here in El Nido at the Aquanaut dive center with the PADI manual or from home with the PADI eLearning program, which you can complete online at your own pace before coming to El Nido, this allows you to save time and fully enjoy your vacation.

Learning outcomes — you will learn to:
